From April 2019 Professor Greg Clark is Vice Chairman for Cities and New Industries at HSBC Investment Bank.

Professor Clark is a Global Advisor, Scholar/Writer, Non-Executive Director and Board Chairman. His expertise covers city economies/investment, technology and innovation, urban governance, city strategic planning, real estate and urban form, regional transport, place leadership and national policies.

He provides thought leadership with global organisations, including The World Bank, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), The Brookings Institution and The Urban Land Institute, on the evolution of the metropolitan century. He supports leaders in more than 100 cities worldwide on strategy and leadership, and advises global firms on the investment and enterprise opportunities of an urbanising world. He is the author of 10 books on cities, leadership and business, and more than 100 reports.

He holds professorial roles at University College London and Strathclyde University, is a Global Fellow at the London School of Economics, The Brookings Institute and Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences. He also holds non-Executive Board roles with the Greater London Authority (GLA), Transport for London (TfL) and in the real estate sector.

Professor Clark is an Honorary Ambassador for Brisbane and an Advisor to the Queensland Cities Transformation Task Force. He has spoken and moderated at the Asia Pacific Cites Summit three times previously.
