Victoria Park / Barrambin Site Visit

Victoria Park / Barrambin Site Visit

2023APCS delegates are invited to participate in an exclusive visit to Victoria Park/ Barrambin, one of Brisbane's most exciting projects on Wednesday 11 October 2023 from 3.30-5.00pm.

With the release of the Victoria Park/ Barrambin Master Plan in June 2023, Brisbane City Council is transforming Victoria Park/ Barrambin into a natural retreat and urban park for adventure, discovery and reconnection. The park has also been named as the temporary venue for the equestrian, cross country and BMX freestyle events for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. From a Tree House with views across the city to revitalised wetlands and water holes, come and hear what is planned for the 64 hectares of inner-city green space in Brisbane.

During this visit, delegates will receive a presentation from speakers involved in the transformation of the park, be afforded the opportunity to ask questions during a live Question-and-Answer session, and take part in a short guided walking tour of the park.

Places are limited so be sure to secure your spot on the site visit by confirming your participation during the registration process.

Important information:

  • Courtesy buses will be available to transport delegates to and from the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre - departing at 3.00pm and returning at 5.30pm.
  • This site visit will take place concurrent to the Mayors' Forum and City Leaders' Forum. Both private and public sector delegates not taking part in these forums are highly encouraged to attend.
